A fabulous pair of bar stools, and even though the makers labels have been removed, they were designed by Grant Featherston for Melbourne based company Aristoc.  Aristoc Industries was founded in 1946; in 1957 Grant Featherston became Aristoc’s Design Director, continuing for thirteen years.  They feature;

• leather look vinyl upholstery, metal & brass construction
• circa 1960’s
• floating seat design
• padded & upholstered seats
• concave seats
• metal frame base
• splayed & tapered legs
• brass capped feet

Condition overview; in good condition, relative to their vintage, they are well-made pieces.  There are no tears in the upholstery.  As to be expected on used pieces of this age, they display general wear, knock and surface marks.
