6906R - Retro Vintage Latchford Style Sideboard / Buffet / LP Vinyl Records Cabinet
A superb sideboard, it is finished on the back as well, therefore it is designed to be placed anywhere in a room, not just limited to being against a wall. We believe it to be made by Latchford & Sons in Melbourne (1953 – 1986). The Company was a licensee for Jens Risom (a world renown Danish born designer) and Hans Knoll designed furniture. Even though it has all the hallmarks of Latchford design, there are no identifying makers marks on it, therefore we cannot say that it is definitively by Latchford.

Condition overview; in good condition, relative to its age, it is a quality, solid and sturdy piece. As to be expected on a piece of this vintage, it displays general wear, knock and surface marks (particularly to the top) and the finish is inconsistent on the left-hand side edge of the top. The LP record compartments have been retro fitted and are removable if not required.
