6826R - Retro Vintage Mid Century Latchford Sideboard / Buffet – Black bean Timber
A superb sideboard, it was made by Latchford & Sons in Melbourne (1953 – 1986). The Company was a licensee for Jens Risom (a world renown Danish born designer) and Hans Knoll designed furniture. The Risom designs captured the quality craftsmanship and signature clean lines of Scandinavian modernism furniture. William Latchford & Sons also held licences to manufacture works by Breuer, Mies van der Rohe, Bertoia, Saarinen, Charles and Rae Eames and others.

Condition overview; in good condition, relative to its age, it is a quality, solid and sturdy piece. As to be expected on a piece of this vintage, it displays general wear, knock and surface marks (including to the top). In addition, the centre door kicks out at the top slightly.
