This handy piece is not only functional – it looks great too … fantastic conversation starter when entertaining.  Made by Don Carolis & Sons in Colombo, the company was established in 1860 and remains to be Sri Lankas oldest and largest furniture manufacturer. The company continues to hold the unique privilege of providing furniture to both the new and old Parliaments of Sri Lanka, the President's House and offices and the Prime Minister's Residence.  It features;

Condition overview; in good condition, relative to its age, it is a beautifully crafted piece.  As to be expected on a piece of this vintage, it displays general wear, knock and surface marks and the finish is inconsistent in areas.
