6780R - Retro Vintage Fred Ward Mid Century Sideboard / Buffet – Platform Feet - Myrtle Timber
This fabulous piece is a superb example of Fred Ward designed furniture made for Myer Heritage. A highly regarded designer (1947 – 1988), his furniture design is characterised by his pioneering use of unstained Australian timbers. Among some of the timbers he used to make furniture were Australian blackwood, myrtle, coachwood, walnut, fiddle-back and whitegum; all used to compliment the clean, simple and flowing lines of his designs.

Condition overview; in good condition, relative to its age, it is a very solid, quality crafted piece. The locks, doors and drawer work well. As expected on a used piece of this vintage, it displays general wear, knock and surface marks. There has been a repair made to the right-hand side edge of the left-hand side door at some point.
