6657 - Retro Mid Century Jens Risom / William Latchford Desk - Floating Top – L Shape - Twin Pedestal - Filing Drawers
This magnificent desk was designed by Jens Risom for William Latchford & Sons in Melbourne (1953 – 1986). The Company was a licensee for Jens Risom (a world renown Danish born designer) and Hans Knoll designed furniture. The Risom designs captured the quality craftsmanship and signature clean lines of Scandinavian modernism furniture. William Latchford & Sons also held licences to manufacture works by Breuer, Mies van der Rohe, Bertoia, Saarinen, Charles and Rae Eames and others. As it is finished on the back, it can be placed anywhere in a room, not just against a wall. Please note; the chair is not included in this sale.

As expected on a used piece of this vintage, it displays general wear, tear, knock (including to the right-hand side of both drawers) and surface marks but all in all a lovely quality piece.
