This high-quality comfy sofa was made by Danish company Stouby.  Stouby was founded by Marius J. Blirup in 1902 in a small Danish village named Stouby.  The company was soon recognised world-wide for high-quality, beautifully designed pieces.  After 74 years in the same family, the company was sold and now Stouby is based in Haremarksvej 7 in Løsning, Denmark.  It features;

• beech timber legs with original black finish

Condition overview; in good condition, relative to its age, it is a well-made, quality sofa.  There are no holes, rips or tears in the leather.  All zips work well.  As to be expected on a piece of this vintage, it displays general wear and surface marks.  When the right-hand side armrest cushion is removed, there is a part where the leather has stretched in an area – obviously this can’t be seen when the cushion is in place.
